Maanpäivän kunniaksi kuulemme meidän oman BPW Green Ambassador Zahra Safaein luennon.

Dr. Zahra Safaei is a researcher at the University of Helsinki and CEO of iQneiform (Smart Living Lab), working at the intersection of environmental sensing, water systems, and data-driven sustainability. Her work focuses on developing intelligent monitoring approaches that connect scientific measurement with real-world decision-making. As a BPW Green Ambassador, she brings a systems perspective to sustainability, linking global goals with local action and impact.

This webinar invites you to rethink sustainability, not as a distant or abstract goal, but as something we shape through our everyday decisions, leadership, and collaboration. Combining insights from environmental research and practical experience, the session explores how sustainability can be understood as a systems challenge, where environment, society, and economy are closely linked. It also highlights the role of women and networks like BPW in bridging global goals, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with local, tangible impact.

These topics are approached by exploring, for example:

• Why sustainability is not only an environmental issue, but a systems challenge

• How data, knowledge, and scientific insight can support better decision-making

• What it means to act as a Green Ambassador in practice

• How women’s leadership can connect global goals with local action

• Where the most effective leverage points for change exist in everyday work and business

• How small, consistent actions can lead to long-term systemic impact
